This has been making the rounds, but I thought I’d share it. I’ve never seen a case of someone conflating an artist’s life with the artist’s work this badly before. This is near-terrifying.
Even if Michael Jackson molested children, that doesn’t mean his music is now suddenly bad. That doesn’t mean you take back all those dances you did to his music. It just means that he molested children. Which is bad! Right?
Yes, bad. I just looked it up.
And he was never found guilty.
And any other accusation lobbed against Jacko in this article is just dumb. You don’t call a drug addict an asshole. You pity them… you share drugs with them… you leave them alone. But someone doing drugs has no direct effect on your life even if it’s a member of your family. Unless you let them drive you home. That’s bad!! I think.
Ugh. I’m gonna stop here. This is a terrible article written by someone in desperate need of attention. I’m talking about the Village Voice article. Not about my blog post.
